TACIS INCREASES ITS BUDGET FOR AZERBAIJAN
The rates of Economic development of Azerbaijan pave the way for an increase in funds assigned by the European Commission to realize the projects within the frames of TACIS’s indicative programs, executive director of the Coordinating Bureau of EU’s technical assistance to Azerbaijan Askar Alakbarov told AzerTAj correspondent.
The volume of EC’s expenses on the indicative program for 2004-2006 even increased against that in Georgia and Armenia. “In comparison with the previous years, TACIS’s program of actions in Azerbaijan for 2004-2006 has increased by €2 million and it proved to be the result of the successful economic course of the leadership of Azerbaijan,” said A.Alakbarov. Acording to him, the program’s priority direction for 2004-2006 is to support structural, legal and administrative reforms (17 million euro) and develop the private sector of Azerbaijan (13 million)
