Neftchala Industrial District established

Baku, February 3, AZERTAC

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree “On the creation of Industrial District in Neftchala Region”.

Being the first industrial district in the country, it was established for development of the non-oil industry by means of creation of commercial and processing enterprises to promote small and medium entrepreneurship.

The Azerbaijan Open Stock Investment Company (AIC) has been appointed an organizer and regulator of the district.

The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to allocate 10 hectares of land for the district, which should be transferred to AIC within the next 2 months. The Ministry of Economy and Industry was instructed to create conditions for business at that territory including internal and outer infrastructure (power, water, gas, heating, sanitation, communications, transport, firefighting means, administrative, industrial and social areas).
