A delegation of the Central Bank of Oman is on visit to Azerbaijan. In the course of the visit, the delegation led by director of the Financial Management Department Khilal al-Barvani will study the system of interbank national payments in a real mode of time “AZIPS” and principles of the clearing system for small payments “XOHKS”.

It is the fourth visit of the delegation of foreign banks to Azerbaijan. The delegations of Georgia and Kirghizstan, Bank of Central African countries have earlier been on the same mission to Azerbaijan, NB’s press-service reported.

The payment systems applied by the National Bank was assessed within the frameworks of the program initiated by the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
