World marks wild life day
Baku, March 3 AZERTAC
The world is marking the Wildlife day, under the slogan “The future of the wild life is on our hands”, with stress to the protection of the African and Asian elephant. The date that was instituted in 2013 at the 68th UN General Assembly, marks the sustainable benefits resulting from wide flora and fauna of the planet.
The event also is intended to warn of the dangers the poaching and traffic of species cause to wildlife.
Angola has been making a set of efforts to align its strategy of fight against the poaching and traffic of wild life species, according to a note from ministerial department in charge of political environment.
The sources stressed that Angola reaffirms its commitment to control of international trade of endangered species as well as regional and international combat in collaboration with other international counterparts.
