VOLUME OF DEPOSITS INCREASED
The amount of funds and deposits attracted by the Banks by April 1 totaled 3488,7 billion manats. It is 14,3 percent higher than by January 1, 2004 and 44,1 percent higher than that of the same period last year.
647,5 billion manats or 18,6 percent of the amount fall to the share of national currency savings and 2846,3 billion manats or 81,4 percent – to foreign currency.
By April 1, 2004 natural persons saved 1410,4 billion manats in banks, which is 12 percent higher than by January 1, 2004 and 57 percent higher than that of the same period last year.
Juridical persons deposited 2078,3 billion manats by April 1 and it is 15 percent higher than by January 1, 2004 and 36,3 percent higher than that of the same period last year.
