TRANSPLANTATION OF MARROW PASSED SUCCESSFULLY

First transplantation of marrow in Azerbaijan passed successfully. The patient suffering from sharp leucosis, on 22 October was discharged from the Center of transplantation of marrow functioning under the Central Clinics.

The patient will be for long time under the observation of Valeh Huseynov, physician-hematologist, who said transplantation was possible thanks to coordinated effort of the Azerbaijan and Turkish doctors. He noted the great role of Suleyman Dincher, professor of the Ankara model hospital, under whose leadership the Azerbaijani physicians has probation.

The donor was sister of the patient. Valeh Huseynov also said that, unfortunately, many patients appeal the Center, when transplantation is already impossible. Currently, the issue is under examination.
