PACE APPOINTS NEW RAPPORTEUR

The Committee on Migration, Refugees and Population of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has appointed Dutch deputy Leo Platvoet as a new rapporteur on prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons held in Armenia and Nagorno- Karabakh. His candidature was confirmed by the Parliamentary Assembly.

During his trip to the region, he will conduct an inquiry in line with the list of Azerbaijani POWs, hostages and missing persons and make out a report for the PACE.

The date of the trip will be specified in the Assembly’s winter session.
