ORDER IN SUMGAIT TRANSPORT
At the recent session, the Mayor of Sumgait Vaghif Aliyev criticized transport policy of that city. It was found out that 600 vehicles start their trips every day, the bigger part of which is functioning without any rights for passenger transportation. Illegal activities of owner of the vehicle negatively influence budget of Sumgait as well. For instance, during 2002, 7 million manats were contributed to the state treasury, and during one month of 2003 - 40 million manats. Besides, it takes place in the existing situation. There are clear facts of irresponsible embezzler, V. Aliyev said.
In addition, non-correspondence of the number of vehicles to the length of routes as well as doubling these routes, chaotic bus stops cause jams. All these facts cause difficulties in providing safety of pedestrians and raise claims on behalf of the population.
The route Baku-Sumgait from different points of that city has been restored.
