The decision to open in Sumgait a new library equipped with modern facilitates and free internet access has been made during a meeting between Head of the city Executive Power and representatives of the US National Democratic Institute for International Relations /NDI/.

The NDI’s newly appointed Director for Azerbaijan Christie Quirk told of the projects implemented in the country with the financial support for the US Agency for International Development.

The parties pointed out the importance of mastering modern information technologies and deepening economic knowledge to the young people. These are the challenges, according to them, the library will be destined to solve.
