EU EXPANDS RELATIONS WITH AZERBAIJAN

“European Union intends to expand relations with Azerbaijan”, this idea was expressed at the pres-conference held at the Embassy of Germany in Baku. Ambassador Klaus Grevlich, EU special envoy Heykki Talvieti, special Ambassador of the European Commission to Azerbaijan Antonius de Vries told on current situation and prospects of development of cooperation of the European Union, Germany with Azerbaijan.

EU equally treats to all countries of the Southern Caucasus in the fields of security and foreign policy, press-service reports. Touching on Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, there was noted that the European Union supports negotiations held in frame of OSCE Minsk group, and if conflict to be peacefully solved, the EU will soundly join the restoration and reconstruction of the occupied territories. European Union attaches particular interest in expansion of the economic cooperation with Azerbaijan.
