AGF representative honored with FIG bronze distinction

Baku, October 26, AZERTAC

The 81st General Assembly of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) was held in Tokyo on October 18-20.

The Congress has elected its new authorities and awarded Secretary General of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Farid Gayibov with the bronze distinction.

The Congress also accepted numerous small changes of the Statutes and updated the FIG Code of Ethics which includes that any close family relative to a competitive gymnast may not judge that gymnast or his/her unit (pair, group etc.) at any FIG sanctioned event.

The General Assembly unanimously assigned the 82nd FIG General Assembly to the Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan. It will be held on December 2 - 3, 2018, in Baku.

Gayibov previously was elected twice to the FIG Council in 2008 and 2012.
